In the matchup we had all been waiting for the #1 Mild Cats (7-0) were going head to head with the #2 Southside Birds (7-0) in the 2026 Naperville ULAX Championship game. By chance, these teams never met in the regular season and were only separated by a few goals to decide their seeding. The Mild Cats knocked out the Nightcrawlers in the first semi-final, while the Southside Birds dominated Grove Dynasty in the second semi-final. As the sun began to set, the lights kicked on, and a breeze rolled through, the 2026 Naperville ULAX Championship game was to begin at beautiful Nike Park. The Mild Cats came out strong as Works assisted Stout-Shoger to get the scoring going early for a 1-0 lead. The Southside Birds offense stayed hot from their semi-final game as they then scored 5 unanswered goals from Quaid, Peacock, Son, Richter and Latorre to take a 5-1 lead halfway through the first half. The Mild Cats wouldn't go down easy, as they chipped away to make the score 6-4 Southside Birds to end the half. Coming out of halftime the Mild Cats put away two quick goals to tie the game at 6. Both teams then exchanged goals from Perry (Mild Cats) and Cherry (Southside Birds) as it seemed to be whoever won the last faceoff was going to win the game. The Mild Cats took a 9-8 lead on a goal from Turner and had the ball with under two minutes left. Lacksonen came out of the cage and forced a turnover with 90 seconds left in the game to give the Southside Birds one more chance. With time winding down and just four seconds left on the clock, Peacock threw a beautiful cross field skip pass to Son who buried the lefty step down to tie the game at 9. It was dejavu, as we were headed to overtime in the Naperville ULAX championship game just like in 2025. It was now a race against the clock as the lights would be going off in just 5 minutes. OT started off with a faceoff win for the Southside Birds, but it was Curley for the Mild Cats who stepped up big this time as he made a huge save in overtime to stop the Southside Birds. The Mild Cats cleared the ball up and got it behind to Maluta who dodged and found Rovito cutting backside as they had done all season. Rovito caught it and tucked the ball away in the stick side high corner for the game winning goal as the Mild Cats win 11-10 in overtime against the Southside Birds. The Mild Cats are your 2026 Naperville ULAX Champions.

Red Hook Boys continued their dominant performance from their previous game with a commanding win to take home the championship! Captain Mike Mrzyglod led the way with 4 goals, and 6 other players recorded a point. The Grizz gave it their all, but the Red Hook Boys were just too much to handle. Grizz goalie Ryan Dejordy played a great game, accumulating 11 saves, and Skyler Saunders netted two goals. Congratulations to the Red Hook Boys!

In our second semi-final game of the 2026 Naperville ULAX season, the undefeated #2 Southside Birds took on #3 Grove Dynasty. This game was all Birds from the first whistle as they opened up a 5-0 lead in the first three minutes of the game. Behind 4 goals from Quaid, 3 goals from Son and a pair of goals from Richter, Peacock, Marschitz and Latorre, the Southside Birds cruised to an 18-6 win over Grove Dynasty to secure their spot in the ULAX championship game.

In the fiercest competition we've seen so far, the boys were more energized than ever to be exercising their skills in this friendly competition. Trident goaltender M. Weinert (#11) especially exhibited an impressive eight saves, facing pressure throughout the game and making more than a few close saves. Despite the talent on both sides, Harlem Lacrosse LA came out on to with a one-goal differential.

A tough-fought game for a berth to the championship tonight. After battling early, the Grizz pulled away to make it to the championship game. 6 different players scored goals, and goalie Ryan Dejordy made 8 saves. Riptide stayed in the game with goalkeeper Asher Harrison making 10 saves, but it wasn't enough to come out on top.

In our first semi-final game of the 2026 Naperville ULAX season, we had a rematch from last week as the #1 Mild Cats took on the #4 Nightcrawlers. The Mild Cats came out strong behind hat tricks from both Works and Rovito in the first half, leading 8-1 at the break. As the game seemed to be out of reach, the Nightcrawlers had other plans, as they battled back to make it 8-6 with just under 3 minutes to play thanks to 9 saves from Johnson and 2 goals from Hulbert and P. Keblusek. With one last possession under 2 minutes, it seemed like the Nightcrawlers had a shot, but Curley was there to make his 11th save of the game and Skura sealed the game his second goal of the game to give the Mild Cats a 9-6 win and advanced to their 5th straight Naperville ULAX Championship game.

Red Hook Boys were in the driver's seat all game to punch their ticket to the championship. With points from 10 different players, the Red Hook boys dominated all aspects of the field. Slide Method gave it their all to end their season with 3 players recording a point, and both Slide Method goalies combined for 10 saves.

This summer has been a hot one but Fall Ball will be here before we know it ☀️

In the highly competitive Summer season the only certainty seems to be that no team has yet to beat the Beverly Hills Lacrosse Club. As the newly minted SoCal Cup Champions, it was never going to be easy for any team to surpass the raw talent exhibited in every game. The Mud Dogs came close however and gave a challenge worthy of the Beverly Hills Lacrosse Club. The final score was 6-5 in Beverly Hills favor.

Time and time again the former seven-time champions are close to regaining their former glory, only for a younger team to swipe it away at the last. Missing their star player Adam Dahms (#9), the Chiefs played at a one goal deficit up until the very end. Coach Mateo Lopez-Quintanas (#28) leadership from the field ensured an organized offense. The final score was 8-7 in the Red Rockets favor.

The final game of Week 4 proved to be the most competitive contest of the night as Lock Jaw squared off against The Birds in a physical, high-energy battle between two talented teams. Lock Jaw came out with intensity from the opening faceoff, applying pressure on both ends of the field and frustrating The Birds early. Although The Birds generated plenty of offensive opportunities and outshot their opponent for stretches of the game, they struggled to capitalize, with several quality chances missing just wide of the cage. Lock Jaw made the most of its opportunities, building an early lead behind disciplined defense, timely saves, and efficient offense. Their ability to force turnovers and transition quickly kept The Birds from finding any consistent rhythm. After battling through a tough defensive effort, The Birds finally broke through and got on the scoreboard, refusing to back down despite the deficit. They continued to fight until the final whistle, but Lock Jaw's defense stood tall, limiting one of the league's most dangerous offenses to just four goals. In the end, Lock Jaw's balanced performance on both sides of the field proved to be the difference. Their defensive unit remained composed under constant pressure, while the offense delivered when it mattered most to secure an impressive 10-4 victory. With the win, Lock Jaw continued to establish itself as one of the league's top contenders, while The Birds showed the resilience and competitiveness that have made every one of their games entertaining throughout the ULAX summer season.

A defensive battle came down to the wire, but the Fellas came away with a hard-fought 5-3 victory. The offense was fueled by a hat trick and two additional goals to seal the win. Paddy battled until the final whistle, with one player recording a goal and an assist while two others each found the back of the net.

In a ULAX Summer 2026 first, the Malibu Lacrosse Club has won. Their opponents, the former champions and home-field advantage holders: the Mustangs. At the blow of the whistle one could sense strong vibes from Malibu and especially from A. Gallegos (#14) & W. Russell (#36) who scored two and one goals respectively. With only a minute left and a one goal lead, Malibu managed to hold onto the ball and kill the clock, sealing the deal.
