ULAX Lacrosse League - Founder's Cup

Founder's Cup

Founder

Held throughout the mid-west, the Founder's Cup brings together the top clubs from the Great Lakes Lacrosse Conference. The tournament offers teams the opportunity to improve their national ranking and compete for a chance to qualify for the National Championship.

Lacrosse dates back a thousand years, making it the continent's oldest team sport. Originally known as "The Creator's Game" or "medicine game," various tribes played it for spiritual, medicinal, and conflict resolution. The Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) and other Eastern Woodlands tribes are believed to have originated the game, which is considered a gift from the Creator to bring enjoyment and healing.

Known as Tewaarathon (Mohawk) or Baaga'adowe (Ojibwe), the tournament honors the ancestors and the competitive drive that connects us all.
